Hello, everyone. Here is a bit more about me:

My name is Damian, I enjoy collaborating with enterprising teams, and I’m afraid of sharks (the animal kind.)

I’m a seasoned writer, editor, and researcher working with other professionals on tailored business content across industries. I help analyze growth opportunities for companies and organizations, large and small, and talk through the key nuances involved to inform my ideation and research.

I earned an M.A. in Business and Economics Reporting from The Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York in 2008 and a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Pace University in 2004. Throughout my career, I have tackled everything from new and traditional media and educational publishing to corporate marketing campaigns that resonate with wide reader bases.

I write and edit topical articles, take camera photos, and co-produce videos that support level playing fields and other net positives. I talk and write about banking and capital markets, new technologies, venture capital and crypto, entrepreneurship, and smart business strategies. I also frequently delve into commercial real estate investing and lending, sustainable development, and the intersection of tech and finance.

I grew up in Manhasset, Long Island, as an avid reader, runner, music fan, and technology nerd. I later lived in Summit, New Jersey, and Brooklyn, New York. I spent a year in Tokyo, studying Japanese at Sophia University (上智大学) and teaching English while I was in college.

My wife, son, and I now reside in the world’s borough of Queens during the fall, winter, and spring, and spend our time in Aichi, Japan, during the summers. My work hours in Japan are in sync with my clients’ hours in the U.S. and I do all related meetings and tasks on the same platforms.

I am politically independent and remain largely centrist in today’s increasingly polarized world. I support addressing issues that include sustainable housing creation, educational development, financial empowerment, and effective climate action in the U.S. and abroad.

I believe in striving towards greater race, gender, and wealth equity, healthier living standards, and a deeper appreciation for other cultures on a global basis.

I’m a vocal opponent of discrimination, misinformation, corruption, and waste. As an independent business owner working with large to small companies, I’m an advocate of clean capitalism and proactive streamlined regulations that support market growth and consumer well-being without bloat.
